While IBM will release its ¡°IBM Retail Environment for SUSE Linux¡± coming in 2004, TriPolaris International Inc. has already launched its JazPOS 1.0 in 2002 using open source Linux O/S and Java Programming language. Since the release of JazPOS 1.0, TriPolaris has continued to develop new functions and features for the Restaurant/Retail market with the Linux O/S.
